Dharamshala, October 9, 2017: Former minister and BJP leader of Dharamshala, Kishan Kapoor blasted on the current Dharamshala MLA cum Urban Development Minister of Himachal Sudhir Sharma that the latter did not fulfilled the promises made by him in his manifesto issued 5 years back.
Kapoor said, "Sudhir promised to start Central university in Dharamshala, and said that its foundation stone be laid in 2013 itself, whereas the CU is still running in transit facility.”
Kapoor said that the Urban Development Minister promised to live with his family in Dharamshala as he was shifted from Baijnath Constituency when the later was declared reserved one, but instead he and his family disappeared from Dharamshala to reappear again for coming assembly election due later this year.
Kapoor said during a press conference at Dharamshala that the previous BJP government of the state sanctioned Rs.27 crore for new water supply scheme in Dharamshala for 24 hour supply, whereas the present Congress led government not only miss used the money, but the supply of water in the city has worsened.
No Capital allowance was provided to the state employees in Dharamshala, which has announced 2nd capital of the state, Secretariat building built during BJP rule is in dilapidated state, no bench of High Court or permanent state tribunal was started as promised and none of the five promised ropeways came in to existence.

Instead the minister gave hundreds of foundation stones of many schemes, which were not there in reality.
Kapoor said, "Sudhir had the votes from Dharamshala and spent notes (money) in Bijnath (his ex-constituency).”
Kishan Kapoor is a leader of Gaddi Comunity from Khanyara area of Dharamshala constituency in Himachal, is aspirant of BJP ticket from Dharamshala in the coming elections. He remained Member, Bhartiya Jan Sangh and Janata Party before being associated with the BJP. Kapoor was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 1990 as BJP candidate re-elected as such to the Assembly in 1993 and 1998. He remained Transport and Tribal Development Minister from March 1998; dropped from the Council of Ministers on March 1, 2001; re-inducted in the Ministry on April 3, 2001. Later, he was elected to State Assembly again in December 2007; remained Transport Minister from 09-01-2008 to 08-07-2009 and was appointed as Industries Minister on 09-07-2009. However, he lost to Sudhir Sharma (Congress ) in 2012.
