Essay Competition on topic `Hindi mey Dil, Dil mey Hindi’ held as a part of Hindi month celebrations

Chandigarh, September 11, 2019: Department of Hindi today organized an essay writing competition as a part of series of activities planned by the Department on the occasion of Hindi month. The topic for essay writing competition was 'Hindi mey Dil, Dil mey Hindi'. Twenty Students from different Departments of the University and city colleges participated in the event. These included PGGC-11, MCM-DAV-36, GCM-11. The next activity 'Har Chitr Kuch Kehta Hai' planned as a part of the celebration will be held on 16th September. Dr Gurmeet Singh, Chairperson, Department of Hindi informed that the winners will be felicitated on the closing ceremony function to be held on 28th September. He also informed that the next activity, a movie screening of the film English Vinglish will be held on 13th September and a Hindi Walk will be organized on Hindi Day, 14th September, at 6.30am on Sukhna Lake.
