Entrepreneurship cell of PCTE organizes startup master class

Ludhiana, September 9, 2019: The Entrepreneurship Cell of PCTE Group of Institutes along with the department of Business Management organized a Startup Master Class to promote and foster Startup ecosystem in the region where around 200 students from different departments attended the program.

Twelve Mentors from different startups & Industry (TAN) came & guided students regarding their business ideas. Pushpinder Singh, Director, TAN Advisors Pvt Ltd., Ludhiana discussed the idea generation and how to pitch ideas during the program.

During the 3 days workshop, the students worked upon idea generation and startup formation. The students after the market validation gave a 5 minutes presentation to the panel including various industrialist from the city. Out of all the ideas presented in the workshop, three ideas were selected for hand-holding by TAN Ludhiana which included Nappads, Patravali and Doctor easy.

The idea of Nappads was highly recommended by the panellist which revolved around making of sanitary napkins out of Banana leaves. The panellist further proposed Nappads group for a tie-up with IIT Delhi for its prototype manufacturing. Patravali idea proposed the manufacturing of utensils out of leaves whereas Doctor easy idea was all about an application for health care.

It was really a realistic approach to create a real business environment. It gave us an opportunity to learn about the market condition and present scenario of businesses. The best part that we experienced in this 3 days workshop was that we were compelled to think away from our comfort zone. I hope to see many more workshops like this in future said the team Tribe Hawkers.

Dr. Gautam Bansal, Director, PCTE Group of Institutes and Prof. Naresh Sachdev, E-Cell In-Charge recognized the presence of dignitaries by presenting them momentoes. Prof. Naresh further added that Entrepreneurs and Startup companies have a critical role to play as key drivers of economic growth, job creation, wealth creation of the economy.
