Ensure that CM’s announcements get top most priority otherwise face stern action: Himachal CM
Dharamshala, September 8, 2019: The officials and officers of the state government should work with missionary zeal and commitment so that the policies and programmes of the government reach to the targeted sections of the society. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the review meeting of senior officers of Kangra district at Dharamshala to review progress in Chief Minister's announcements and the Jan Manch held today. He said that laxity in implementation of the Chief Minister’s announcements would be viewed seriously and stern action would be taken against the earring officers. He said that the government officials must work with dedication and commitment so that projects sanctioned by the government were completed in the stipulated time period. Jai Ram Thakur said, “ it becomes the duty of all the officers and officials for ensuring that all the announcements made by the Chief Minister get top most priority. Every department must work with close coordination with the other , so that the projects get implemented at the earliest and the officers must adopt pro active approach in their working only then desired results could be achieved.” The Chief Minister said that he would regularly monitor the progress in the Chief Minister’s announcements and the government would not hesitate in taking stern action against the officers responsible in delay in the projects. He said that it was the moral duty of each one of us to come up to the expectations of the people as each one of us was accountable towards the state and its people. He said that disposal of work should be the top most priority of each and every officer and official. Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government was working with close coordination with all its employees, therefore it becomes the duty of the employees that they keep this harmonious relation. He said that the government was open to constructive suggestions from the employees. He also urged the employees to regularly visit field so as to take stock of the progress in ongoing developmental projects. It was informed in the meeting that out of the total 189 announcements made by the Chief Minister during the last one and a half years, 91 announcements have been implemented, 47 announcements were in process at district level and 51 announcements were in process at the state level. Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati conducted the proceedings of the meeting and assured that effective steps would be taken to ensure time bound completion of the Chief Minister’s announcements. MP Kishan Kapoor, MLAs Arjun Singh, Ravinder Dhiman, Hoshiyar Singh and Rita Dhiman, and senior officers of the district were present on the occasion among others.
