English Movie Fest at KMV

Jalandhar, February 18, 2015: KMV has taken the initiative of organising a “Movie Fest” for the students of English literature. This fest is open for all the students. Dr.Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV averred that English movies pertaining to all genres are a part of this fest. The faculty intends to show the dramatisation  of all the plays and novels which are prescribed to the students of M.A. in English, B.A. Hons. School in English, B.A. Hons in English and Elective English. This plays a pivotal role in improving the students comprehension of the related play/novel. It inform as well as entertains the students. The movies which have hither to been shown are “Waiting for Godot” based on the play of Samual Backett, “Look Back in Auges” based on John Osborne play of the same name “The Rivals” by Richard  Sheridan. Many more movies like “The Duchess of Malfi” by  Webster, “Dr. Faustus” by Marlowe and Hamlet by Shakespeare well be shown in the coming days. Students have shown keen interest in these movies.

Moreover these give them ample food for thought. Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated Dr.  Madhumeet, (Dean Student Welfare) for this  initiative  and maintained such visual treats go a long way in helping students forge ahead in life.
