Employment fair held at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, September 28, 2019: As per the directives of Punjab Government, an Employment Fair was held at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar today wherein 40 companies and employers all across the region opened their doors to job seeking candidates.
The program was inaugurated by Sunita Kalyan, Deputy Director of the Employment Scheme Program and College Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra whilst SDM-1 Jainder Singh also graced the occasion.
Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra urged the students and youngsters to avail such scheme for their better future whilst Sunita Kalyan also lauded the high participation of candidates in the fifth edition of the series of Employment Fairs held in the region. During a thorough process, total 3418 candidates were interviewed and interfaced, out of which 2245 candidates were selected on the spot while 55 others were waiting listed.
The program was also observed by Placement Officer Mangesh Sood, Career Counsellor Jasvir Singh, Deputy CEO Deepak Bhalla and Harmanpreet Singh. Dr.Dinkar Sharma (Incharge of Job Fair), Dr.Palwinder Singh, Dr.Amritpal Singh, Dr.Ajitpal Singh, Prof.Manish Goel and other staff members were also present on this occasion.
