Chandigarh, February 6, 2013: Eight more candidates have filed their Nominations on last day for the Moga by-election, which was scheduled to be held on February 23.
A spokesperson of the CEO, Punjab today said that Navtej Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Birinderpal Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Gurbachan Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Jaswant Singh Bedi of Indian Karantikari Lehar, Gurmit Singh Rangreta of Punjab Labour Party, Hardev Singh, Jasvir Singh and Shinder Singh has filed their Nominations as Independent Candidate. He said that, now total 16 candidates has filed their Nominations for Moga by poll.
He further said that 8 Candidates had already filed their Nominations, namely Joginderpal Jain of SAD-BJP, Akshit Jain SAD-BJP covering candidate, Sathi Vijay Kumar of Congress, Parveen Sood congress covering candidate, Ravinder Singh Dhaliwal of Peoples Party of Punjab, Gurmail singh Peoples Party of Punjab covering candidate and Ram Denwyal and Rajinder Singh as independent candidates.
