Education minister statement on government schools totally irresponsible: AISF

Ludhiana, January 8, 2019: All India Students Federation (AISF) has termed the statement of education minister of Punjab Shri.O.P.Soni, in which he compared the government schools to Dhabas as totally irresponsible.
In a statement released by Deep Kumar – General Secretary AISF Ludhiana, Sunny Khera, Vishnu Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Karan Gaurf, Harsh Kumar said that it is the duty of the government to ensure quality education to all the students. The government has completely failed in its duty. As a result there is mushrooming of private schools. The students from low income group are therefore being denied quality education. There is developing huge gap in the education level of students from low socio economic group and families with high income. This will have detrimental impact on the society in the coming period. The minister should take note of this and ensure increase in funding of the government schools to improve their infrastructure.
