Chandigarh, January 16, 2018: The Education Minister, Punjab, Mrs.Aruna Chaudhary has expressed profound shock at the road mishap which took place today near Goraya in which a PRTC bus carrying students and teachers of Government Senior Secondary School, Tungan (Sangrur) to the science city collided with a stationery truck. In the mishap, one teacher was killed while 20 students were injured.
Deeply condoling the loss of life and expressing heartfelt sympathy with the injured, the minister said that the District Education Officer (Secondary) Harkawaljit Kaur has been instructed to go on the spot and take stock of the situation. Wishing speedy recovery for the injured children, the minister further said that no stone would be left unturned to extend every possible assistance to the family of the deceased teacher and to those injured.
Mrs. Chaudhary prayed to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
