Education department to organise 'Lok Adalat' on July 3 to dispose of court cases

Chandigarh, July 1, 2014: In a major move to reduce the litigation against Education Department as well as to provide speedy justice to petitioners, the Department has announced to organize “Lok Adalat” on July 3 at Mohali.

A spokesman of the Department today said that according to the directions issued by Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema, Minister in charge in maiden meeting of the department officials, it was decided to hold Special Public Meeting to clear the pending court cases against education department.

He said that the department has called all concerned 69 petitioner to appear in person on July 3, 9.30 onwards at the office of the Director of Public instructions (Secondary Education) Punjab, (Campus of the Punjab Schools Education Board) Phase 8, SAS Nagar (Mohali), where Principal Secretary, Secretary Education, Special Secretary, DGSE, DPI (Secondary and Elementary Education) would listen the grievances of teachers. The list of all 69 cases has been displaced at the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan website www.ssapunjab.org

He also made it cleared that besides hearing the petitioners the person who wants to give their representation regarding pending service matters during the hearing would also be listen in person.
