Earth Day celebrations at Delhi World Public School

Ludhiana, April 23, 2019: “Let’s join hands on Earth Day to make our Earth a better place to live in” with this thought, the morning at Delhi World Public School, Ludhiana was reverberated with excitement and enthusiasm of their students who were all geared up to create awareness on environment thus celebrating the occasion of Earth Day. The day was celebrated with a myriad of educational and fun activities. A special morning assembly marked the event and powerpoint presentations were shown. Students expressed their views in speeches in English and Hindi and agreed to prioritize earth protection. On this special day, a special activity workshop was organized by Ecology Professor- Dr. V.K. Dilawari of PAU Ludhiana. The students were sensitized about the importance of saving environment with a stage representation on how to save Earth. Students of Grade 6 to 9 were provided with Tomato Plants to take care of Under ‘Adopt a Plant’ activity and Sardar Gursahib Singh, Social Activist Principal, Delhi World Public School, thanked Dr. V.K. Dilawari and S.Gursahib Singh and spread awareness among students on some of the ways to save Mother Earth. Students and school staff was encouraged to avoid Plastic Bags . “The Earth is what we all have in Common.”
That was the feeling in every person’s heart connected to DWPS.
