The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Sunil Jakhar, the Punjab Youth Congress president, Vikram Chaudhary, the party MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu and others visiting the Ludhiana District Youth Congress (DYC) activists observing hunger strike against the property tax on Monday and get their fast opened.

Ludhiana, March 25, 2013: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Sunil Jakhar, the Punjab Youth Congress president, Vikram Chaudhary, the party MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu and others visited the District Youth Congress (DYC) activists observing hunger strike against the property tax on Monday and got their fast opened.
They asked them that the state government had already constituted a committee to review the property tax, therefore, they should wait for a report of the committee to come out. Chaudhary told the party men that they would not accept property tax at any cost.
The PYC workers have been observing the fast for the last five days. The DYC president Deepak Khandoor is undergoing treatment at civil hospital, as his condition had started getting deteriorated after observing thee fast. The Congress leaders also visited the hospital to enquire about the Khandoor’s health.
