Dr.Ranjeet Singh, PI ABI deliveres lecture to sensitize agro processing activity

Ludhiana, September 26, 2019: Agriculture is the biggest sector in India, yet the sector and its workforce are not valued. The youth are not attracted to this profession as there is neither guarantee of income nor enough institutions that provide jobs. Agri-business includes all the activities within the agricultural food and natural resource industry involved in the production of food and fiber. But due to lack of awareness students/youth are not getting any benefit. Keeping in view the above facts, under ABI project, ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana conducted one day Sensitization Program on Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Development through Agro Processing on 25 September at Government Senior Secondary School Ayali Khurd, Ludhiana and 45 students attended the same. Dr.Ranjeet Singh, PI ABI delivered lecture to sensitize the agro processing activity under ABI and various post-harvest and value addition technologies offered by CIPHET and motivated them to embrace agro-processing in future.
