Jalandhar, January 15, 2016: Dr.Gurpreet Singh, Assistant Professor in Biotechnology of this college has received a grant of Rs.1 Lakh for conducting a National Conference on “Stress Tolerance and Plant Biotechnology” from University Grants Commission, Government of India. The seminar is scheduled to be held on 11 and 12 February, 2016. The major objective of this conference is to provide a scientific platform to exchange the information on the recent advances in plant stress physiology and to bring together the national scientific community involved in the studying effects of stress on plants in different scientific sessions. The President of Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur and Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, congratulated Dr.Gurpreet Singh on this achievement. Dr. Arun Dev Sharma HOD Biotechnology, Prof. Tawinderpal Kaur, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. J.S. Rana, Registrar, Dr. Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Dean Administration, were also present on this occasion.
