Dr.Beenu Chopra highlights ill-effects of drugs on youth

Jalandhar, November 22, 2019: A striking function punctuated with the spirit of armed forces was organized to celebrate NCC Day at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. The program was held in association with the 1 PB AIR SQN Unit Jalandhar and NCC Cadets from different colleges of the region participated in the aforementioned event. The chief guest of the occasion, Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra was duly welcomed to the program with the customary guard of honour by Air Wing Cadets. Encouraging the cadets, Dr.Samra emphasized the importance of devotion, dedication and sincerity in a student's life and also highlighted the prominent role of NCC in instilling such values in the cadets. A lecture on Drug Abuse was delivered by Dr.Beenu Chopra, Counsellor wherein she highlighted the ill-effects of drugs on the youth and society on the whole. She inspired the cadets to focus on their target subsequently keeping them away from the clutches of the menace posed by drugs. Flying Officer Manpreet Singh Lehal also briefed the audience about the effects of drugs and the role of NCC cadets in eradicating drugs and similar evils from our society.
