Drashti wishes Gen Next of Ek Tha Raja EK Thi Rani Good Luck!

Sagar Hingonia and Mahima Joshi roped in to play the young Raja-Rani post leap
Zee TV’s immensely popular primetime show EK Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani which is currently in the news for its upcoming leap and the lead couple Siddhant Karnick and Drashti Dhami’s exit, introduces an all new cast post leap as Raja and Rani. The noted child artistes of Indian Television Swar Sagar and Mahima Joshi have been roped in to play the iconic roles of the Raja and Rani as kids. On screen, this week will mark the beginning of a very crucial phase in the show. In the meanwhile, off screen, our gorgeous Rani Drashti Dhami was busy clicking selfies with the new kids and wishing them good luck on her last day.
Drashti says, “It was my last day of shoot and the first for the kids who will play the younger generation post leap. Both the kids who are playing the role of Raja and Rani are absolutely adorable. I have clicked a few pictures with them and wished them good luck too. Needless to say, I will miss the entire team and how. They have been the best co-stars I have ever had”.
After a leap of 8 years viewers will witness the story from Rani’s (Ranaji and Gayatri’s child) point of view who has been raised by Rajmata and Lakhan away from the palace of Amerkot. She is a girl full of life and joy. Her real name is Sandhya but Rajmata calls her Rani. She is brought up to be just like her mother Rani Gayatri. When Rajmata falls ill and she needs to make some quick money, Rani goes to the Amerkot palace in search of work, blithely unaware of her roots and the history of her own family the four walls hold. While in the palace, she comes in touch with Kaal (Chetan Hansraj) who now rules the kingdom and his son Rishi who is affectionately called Raja. Will Rani become friends with the son of the man eho killed her parents? Will Kaal and Badi Rani Maa realize who Rani really is and kill her like they killed Ranaji and Gayatri? Or will Rani unravel the truth about her parents and avenge their death?
