Chandigarh, July 28, 2015: The Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema expressed deep shock over the sad demise of former president of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. In a statement issued today Dr Cheema said that the country has lost a great teacher, a scholar and an eminent scientist who was committed to the cause of Education till his last breath. He will be remembered for his love and passion for students in the years to come.

The Education Minister appealed to all the teachers of the state to devote some extra time during the period of seven day mourning declared by Government of India as a tribute to the great teacher. He said that Education department will also organise a motivational lecture on the life and teachings of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on EDUSAT system so that all teachers and students may learn from the life of the great man. in addition all the school heads are being instructed to bring the students about the life of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at the time of daily morning assembly.

Paying rich tribute to a real Karamyogi, Education Minister said that to make children familiar with the life and teachings of the legend, like Dr. Kalam would be an inspiration to millions of students who come across his wisdom and knowledge.
