DPS Kharbanda at Kshitiz 2019- An Inter College Event at GNA University

Jalandhar, March 7, 2019: GNA University hosted an Inter College Competition – Kshitiz 2019 an annual event with an overall participation of 700 plus participation in the 13 events titled- Business Quiz, Business Plan, Rising Star Chef, Code Craze, Network Blue Print, Lathe Master, Digital Design Competition, Short Film Competition, CAD Contest, CNC Simulator, Ad Mad Show and Quadcopter & Arduino Workshop, Punjabi Folk Dance & Gaming Mania under the benign presence of the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala, DPS Kharbanda. The event was inaugurated with the blessings of S. Gursaran Singh, Chancellor, GNA University. The Chancellor in his words, “GNA University is really delighted to witness the huge participation of the students across the Punjab.” He even wished to have this Kshitiz 2019 a memorable annual event for all the participants. Dr VK Rattan, Vice-Chancellor expressed his happiness upon seeing the unleashing of the budding talents in various events. He extended a warm welcome to all the participating colleges and wished them luck with a belief that all the teams would give a tough competition to each other. S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, Pro-Chancellor praised the tireless efforts of all the students who brought laurels to their colleges by winning the prizes. He urged to keep working hard with a positive outlook towards life. The Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala, DPS Kharbanda expressed, “Every student should accomplish their dream by putting it writing on the wall and believe in themselves and have complete faith in their endeavours.” He also said, “Make your parents feel proud of the efforts that you do and always act as a support to them.” The university congratulated and acknowledged the participation of all the participants with a “Certificate of Participation” to all and the accompanying teachers with a memento as a souvenir. The first winners bagged the cash award of Rs 5100, second won Rs 3100 and the third team was honoured with Rs 2100 as the cash award along with the winning trophy and certificates. The winners of all the first winners are- Business Quiz- Govt College for Girls, Ldh Rising Star Chef- Govt College for Girls, Ldh Punjabi Folk Dance- Govt College for Girls, Ldh CAD Contest- IKG PTU Hoshiarpur CNC Simulator- R & D Polytechnic College, Ldh Short Film Competition- Lyalpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar Digital Design- Lyalpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar Code Craze- KLSD College, Ldh Network Blue Print- PCTE Group of Institutes, Ldh Lathe Master- Govt, ITI, Talwara Gaming Mania- PCTE Group of Institutes, Ldh Ad Mad Show- Lyallypur Khalsa College, Jalandhar Quadcopter & Arduino Workshop- GNA University, Phagwara It was indeed an enriching experience for the audience thereby providing ample scope of learning and exploration of new ideas, facts and knowledge for the students. The competition was graced by the renowned judges from all over Punjab and all the Deans, Heads and staff of GNA University.
