DLLL&E, PU organising one month certificate course in Fashion designing

Chandigarh, June 3, 2016: Department of Life Long Learning & Extension (DLLL&E), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh is organizing one month certificate course in Fashion designing at Seminar hall of DLLL&E, PU.
The certificate course, which started on June 1, has received overwhelming response and with this reason, department has decided to start the program in two batches.
There are forty students in two batches, and the timings for the first batch 10 AM to 12 PM and for the second batch 12 PM to 2 PM.
Chairperson of the department Mrs. Renu Gandhi expressed that this summer vacation workshop aimed to help the students to design their clothing according to their regular surroundings and from the cultured they have experienced. The major focus of this program is to design the causal wear, suits, bed sheets and pillow covers by sing the method of Tie & Dye, Block Printing, Stencil painting and Screen painting and embroidery etc. Motivational speaker Mrs. Urvashi Bhatia today discussed the theme of Fashion Designing and self esteem with the students. She expressed that the key to success today, both in personal as well as professional life, is right combination of communication and soft skills, ethics and values, a healthy and holistic personality along with a learning spirit displaying in the growth mind sets of the youngsters.
She expressed that this summer vacation workshop tried to inculcate these values among the students and help them to express their creative ideas and innovations.

BRIEF

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has notified that the B.A./B. Com. LL.B (Hons.) (Five Year Integrated Course) Odd and Even Semester (Reappear) examinations commencing from June 6, 2016 has been postponed.
PU Controller of Examinations Prof Parvinder Singh informed that the decision has been taken due to administration reasons and the new date-sheets of the examinations would be uploaded shortly on the PU Website.
