Ferozepur, October 21, 2019: Diwali Fiesta– ‘Dedicated to Elders’ celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda World School on Sunday. The event was inaugurated by senior citizen Prem Kumar Sharma and Prabha Bhaskar, patron-in-chief of Vivekananda World School and were accompanied by Dr.S.N.Rudra, Director Vivekananda World School. People from all walks of life thronged Vivekananda World School campus with their family to make merry out of the mega event of town. They had sumptuous food stalls, danced on DJ beats besides roaming around with friends in a safe and secure place. Everyone enjoyed the show thoroughly and expressed their joy and gratitude with a thundering applause. Junior visitors relished the various rides especially the ‘rolling ball’ in water, adventure-bridge, commando-net besides Horse and Camel riding. Welcoming the festival of lights, students unfolded their creative abilities in a string of activities. The Live Band from Chandigarh mesmerized the music lovers with their spectacular performance. Children were made aware about the Smokeless Diwali to protect their environment. The small kids were dressed in colourful dresses. They took active participation in making colorful Rangolies with the help of their facilitators. The main attraction of the function was decoration of Diyas and colourful Rangolies. To give a message of pollution free environment, clothes bags prepared by team VWS were disbursed to shun down use of plastic in day routine. The management of the school including the director, Dr SN Rudra appreciated this endeavor of the students and encouraged them to celebrate every festival with the same spirit and enthusiasm. "Through this event, students tried to convey in their small way and taught us how this pious festival can be celebrated in other way than by just burning crackers and polluting the environment,” said patron-in-chief, Prabha Bhaskar. Eminent personalities who graced the occasion included Mr. Jhalkeshwar Bhaskar, Prof. Gurtej Singh, Mr. Mehar Mall, Mr. Harsh Arora, Mr. Shailendar Bhalla, Mr. Harmeet Vidhyarthi, Mr. Santokh Singh, Mr.Parminder Singh Thind, President Press Club, Ferozepur, Mr. Kamal Dravid, Mr. Harpreet singh, Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal, Mr. Dev Raj Narula, S. Ajmer Singh, S. Jagraj Singh, S.
