Jalandhar, October 22, 2014: Joy, festivity and vibrancy were all seen together at play on the occasion of Diwali Celebrations at Lyallpur Khalsa College. To spread a message of pollution-free Diwali, the students on the occasion made Rangolis and performed Punjabi folk dance Gidha and Bolis.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. G.S Samra said that festivals marked the identity of a culture and despite the phenomenon of globalisation, cultural values and traditions of a culture and its identity could still be kept intact through the celebrations of festivals. He reiterated the commitment of Lyallpur Khalsa College to sustain and promote cultural values. The occasion was marked by the presence of staff and students of the College.
