DISTRICT MAGISTRATE DECLARES MAY 17-19 & MAY 23 AS DRY DAYS

Ludhiana, May 16, 2019: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled on May 19, 2019, District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, while exercising his powers under section 54 of Punjab Excise Act 1914, has declared May 17 (5 pm onwards) to May 19 (till 6 pm) and on May 23, 2019 as Dry Days in district Ludhiana. As per these orders, there would be no sale/purchase/consumption hotels, liquor and wine shops, taverns, beer/hard bars, dhabas, restaurants, clubs, marriage palaces, shops, public/private places etc. No person would be allowed to store liquor on these dates. The District Magistrate has stated that any person violating these orders would be strictly dealt with as per law.
