District level farmer training camp for Rabbi season from Sept 11

Chandigarh, September 9, 2012: The Punjab government has announced scheduled programme for farmers' training camp for Rabbi season in each district of the state with a view to provide technical information about the sowing of crops. These camps would be organized from 11 to 27 September.

Divulging the details, Mangal Singh Sandhu, Director Agriculture said that these district level farmer training camps would be held under the supervision of headquarter level officers and first camps would be organized at Sangrur on September 11, 2012, while in district Hoshiarpur and Patiala on Sep 13, district Ferozpur and Saheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on Sep 14, district Mansa and Ajitgarh (SAS Nagar) on Sep 15, in district Tarn Tarna, Jalandhar and Amritsar on 17, in Bathinda on 18, in district Fatehgarh Sahib on Sep 19, in district Sri Muktsar Sahib on Sep 20, in district Barnala and Faridkot on Sep 21, in Gurdaspur/ Pathankot on 23, in district Fazilka on Sep 24 by District Agricultural Officer Ferozpur, in Moga and Kapurthala on Sep 26 and in district Ludhiana and Roopnagar the camps would be held on September 27.

Sandhu said that all the district agriculture officers have been asked to ensure the participation of farmers so that they could get more benefit.
