DIRECTORATE of Governance Reforms conducts 2 day training programme

Chandigarh, July 5, 2013: Directorate of Governance Reforms, Punjab has conducted 2 Days Specialised Training for e-Governance Programme (STeP) on ‘Business Models & Public Private Partnership’ (S1-BM & PPP) from 27 to 28 June at hotel JW Marriot, Chandigatrh.

This workshop was organised for Principal Secretary / Secretary, Commissioners, District Collectors / Directors / Heads of District Level units (Deputy Commissioners / Additional Deputy Commissioners), Project Managers for e-Governance initiatives of State Government to equip them with skills and knowledge on Business Models & Public Private Partnership’ (S1-BM & PPP) for eGovernance projects being implemented under National eGovernance Plan (NeGP) and also other State level e-Governance initiatives.

This training was organised in coordination with National Instituteof SMART Government (NISG), Hyderabad and was attended by senior officers from various State Departments and District Offices.

Rajnish Malhotra Head SeMT Welcomed distinguished officers whereas Dr.V.N.Zade, IAS delivered lecture on Business Models & Public Private Partnership, Director Department of Governance Reforms. Dr. Zade laid focus on importance of Business Models & Public Private Partnership in various e-Governance projects.

During this 2 day program on Business Models & Public Private Partnership, participants were provided knowledge on Introduction to various Business models, Business Model development for e-Governance Projects, Procurement & Request for Proposal, Introduction to Public Private Partnerships (PPP) Value for Money analysis, Contract Management.

The specialised Training Programme on Business Models & Public Private Partnership was conducted by Prof. Harish P.Iyer and Dr. Ram Somasundaram from NISG. Distinguished officers also performed in various activities on Business Models & Public Private Partnership. In the end, Bhawna Garg, Special-Secretary, Personnel distributed certificates to participants.
