Panchkula, August 27, 2017: Panchkula’s Tau Devi Lal Stadium came alive with three(3) Cricket matches played out between Dikshant International School, Zirakpur & Mind Tree School, Ambala.
15 over matches were played between the teams of the two schools in the following categories: Class 4-5(Junior School), Classes 6-8(Middle School) and Classes 9-10(Senior School).
In the first match (Junior School) Mind Tree batting first made a score of 58 runs the match was won by Dikshant by 6 wickets. The man of the match was Adhiraj who made 26 runs. In the second match (Middle school) Mind Tree batting first made 82 runs. Mind Tree School won the match by 21 runs. Man of the match was Raghav Jain who made 45 runs. In the Senior School Match Dikshant batting first made 63 runs . The match was again won by Mind Tree by 3 wickets. Man of the match was Aryan Wadhva who bowled 4 overs with 3 maidens & took 3 wickets. The highlight of the day was the participation of Mr. Mitul Dikshit, Chairman, Dikshant Group of Schools, Zirakpur, as a player for Dikshant Seniors.
“We organized these friendly matches to give an opportunity to young cricket players of both schools, to show their talent as well as have a good ‘competitive cricketing’ day out. The environment at the stadium was charged up with sporty fervor and players from both schools had a great day of Cricket. We will plan more such matches with other schools of the region.” Said Mitul Dikshit, Chairman, Dikshant Group of Schools, Zirakpur.
