Digital ration cards being issued free of cost: Bali

Shimla, June 15, 2017: Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Shri G.S.Bali today said the state government is issuing new digital ration cards free of charge to the consumers on submission of old ration cards. However, several public representatives and common people have pointed out that some Depot holders and other functionaries were charging money for issuing digital cards.

He said that no ration card holder should pay any money even if anyone demanded money for new ration cards. Such matters should be immediately reported to the Inspector, District Food and Supply Controller, SDM or Police of concerned area. The matter may also be brought to the notice of his office so that appropriate action could be taken in the matter.
