DHARAMSOT DIRECTS OFFICERS TO ROLL UP SLEEVES TO IMPLEMENT WELFARE SCHEMES

INSTRUCTS OFFICERS TO UPDATE THE DATA OF BENEFICIARIES WITHIN 15 DAYS
CHANDIGARH: Mr.Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Minister for Forests, Printing & Stationery and Welfare of SCs & BCs directed the officers of the Welfare Department to roll up their sleeves in order to ensure the percolation of benefits of welfare schemes to the needy. Presiding over a high level meeting of the officers of the department on Thursday, Mr.Dharamsot said that in order to provide much needed respite to the needy and downtrodden population of the state, the priority of the department should be to implement all the welfare schemes in the true spirit. He said that the instructions have been issued to the officers down the line, to ensure the implementation of welfare schemes as enlisted in the five year plan.

He informed that the department has also been directed to update within 15 days the data of the schemes implanted vis a vis the record of beneficiaries in the 11th and 12th five year plan.

He urged the officers and employees of the department to work with complete sincerity and dedication for the implementation of schemes in the public interest. He added that the transfers of the employees would be considered on the basis of their performance.

Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Mr. Kirpa Shankar Saroj, Principal Secretary, SCs/BCs Welfare, Mr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi, Director, Welfare, Mr. G.K. Singh, Executive Director SC and BC Cooperation and Mr. Raj Bahadur Singh, Director, SC sub-plan.
