DGR ORGANIZES ONE DAY CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ON GEOSPATIAL AWARENESS

Chandigarh, April 19, 2018: Directorate of Governance Reforms, Punjab has organized one day Capacity Building workshop on Geospatial awareness conducted by Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh (Deemed to be University) in association with Kalpana Chawla Chair & Centre of Excellence in Geospatial Technologies.

One day Capacity Building workshop on Geospatial awareness was organized on 19th April 2018 for Punjab State Officers at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration Punjab (MGSIPA) at Chandigarh.

One day Capacity Building workshop on Geospatial awareness was organized to sensitize officers of the State Departments about Geospatial Technology and techniques.

The workshop was attended by Directors / Joint Directors, Additional Directors, Deputy Directors; State / Project e-Governance Mission Teams, Project Managers, Department Nodal officers / Officers for GEO Spatial / (GIS) who are expected to lead / play crucial role in GEO Spatial / GIS implementation in their regions from Punjab State Departments.

Sh. Parminder Pal Singh PCS, Joint Secretary cum Director Governance Reforms Government of Punjab welcomed all officers and officials & presented bouquet to Dr Manoj K Arora (Director-PEC), and Prof. Har Amrit Singh Sandhu (PEC) during welcome address of one day specialized workshop on Geospatial techniques and Technology.

Dr Manoj K Arora (Director-PEC), Dr Divya Bansal (Associate Prof., PEC), Dr Pradeep N (Manager, ESRI India) ,Prof. Har Amrit Singh Sandhu (PEC) conducted Sessions during one day specialized workshop on Geospatial techniques and Technology organized for Punjab State officers.

Dr Manoj K Arora (Director-PEC), Dr Divya Bansal (Associate Prof., PEC), Dr Pradeep N (Manager, ESRI India) ,Prof. Har Amrit Singh Sandhu (PEC), covered following topics during one day specialized workshop on Geospatial techniques and Technology e.g. Geospatial Journey , Crowdsourcing based GPS systems for Transportation, Environment & Cyber Security, Geospatial Technologies for Smart Governance.

During the workshop Dr Manoj K Arora (Director-PEC), also had interactive Session with all the officers present from various Punjab State Departments. One day specialized workshop on Geospatial techniques and Technology.was coordinated by Sh.Vivek Vatsa Senior Consultant Change Management and Capacity Building Punjab SeMT. Dr Manoj K Arora (Director-PEC), distributed certificates to all officers attended one day Geospatial techniques and Technology workshop organized for Punjab State officers.

In the end Sh.Vivek Vatsa Senior Consultant Change Management and Capacity Building Punjab SeMT thanked all the officers / officials present from State departments for their kind presence and participation in the one day specialized workshop on Geospatial techniques and Technology workshop organized for the Punjab State.
