DGP PROMOTES SI AND HEAD CONSTABLE, COMMENDATION DISKS FOR 6 OTHERS

Chandigarh, October 28, 2016: Appreciating the efficiency of police officials of Patiala district in solving Hartejbir Buttar kidnapping case, the Punjab DGP Sh.Suresh Arora today promoted HC Surinder Singh 2805/Patiala as Head Constable on out of turn basis besides granting local rank of Inspector to SI Davinder Parkash, SHO, PS Tripuri, Patiala.

Besides this, Inspector Bikramjeet Singh Brar , Inspector Jaswinder Singh Tiwana 16/PR, Inspector Shaminder Singh, SI LR Gurmel Singh 1134/Ptl, HC Karamjeet Singh 3186/Ptl and HC Sukhwinder Singh 2244/Ptl have been granted commendation disks and 24 others officials are being given commendation certificates -1 for their concerted efforts.

It may be mentioned here that on 24.10.16 a six years old boy namely Hartejbir Butter S/o Jaspreet Singh Butter was Kidnapped by three bike borne youngsters from Manjit Nagar,Patiala. Acting swiftly, the Patiala police recovered the child safely and arrested four accused namely Sandeep Singh @ Sandip S/o Bagga Singh, Rohi Ram @Rohi S/o Bant Singh,Prakash Singh S/o Darshan Singh,Gurwinder Singh S/o Karamjeet Singh R/o vill. Safipur PS Dirba,Distt Sangrur involved in the crime. A case FIR no. 336 dated 24.10.2016 U/S 365, 34 IPC had been registered PS Tripuri,Distt. Patiala.
