Development of rural areas possible only with help of panchayat & block samitis: MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid

Ludhiana, September 5, 2019: The election of office bearers of Block Samiti Ludhiana-1 was held unanimously at the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer-1. Sukhdev Singh Shehzad was elected Chairman while Bibi Karamjit Kaur as vice chairperson. At the time of election, Gill MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid, SDM Ludhiana (West) Amrinder Singh Malhi, Block Development and Panchayat Officer Dhanwant Singh Randhawa were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Vaid said that role of panchayat samiti’s and block samiti’s have special role for the development of any rural area, and if these samiti’s are strengthened, then development of rural areas would become easy.
He said that Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed for the development of rural areas of the state. He urged the newly elected office bearers to work wholeheartedly for the development of their respective areas. He promised no shortage of funds when it comes to carrying out development. He said that the Punjab government is giving special focus towards the development of Gill constituency. He said that maximum grants are being provided for roads and soon, Punjab Finance Minister Mr Manpreet Singh Badal would announce funds amounting to Rs.2.4 crore for carrying out development in this constituency.
