DETC assures to release VAT refunds worth Rs.18410947 crore of nine VAT dealers in 10 days

Ludhiana, August 2, 2013: A delegation of United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA), Ludhiana met the Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner Rishi Pal Singh, and Tejveer Singh Sidhu , Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner under the leadership of Gurmeet Singh Kular, president of the association today.
The delegation handed over the cases of VAT refunds worth Rs.18410947 crore of nine VAT dealers to DETC, Ludhiana following which the latter assured to the former that refund to these dealers would be released within the 10 days.
The delegates suggested that C-form must be made available online so that people may not face any difficulty. The DETC assured the delegation that he will give due consideration to this suggestion.
“It was further decided that the purchase of raw material should be made on form –D so that 6% VAT on output becomes payable of the purchaser”, said Kular.
The delegation included K.K Seth, Jagatvir Singh, Baljit Singh Lotey and Harpal Singh Bhamber.
