Department of Library and Information Science, PU organized first alumni meet

Chandigarh, November 28, 2019: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized the first Alumni Meet today at Golden Jubilee Hall. In the inaugural session of the meet, Prof.Roshan Lal Raina, Vice Chancellor, JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur, Rajasthan and Alumnus of the department addressed the gathering. In his address, he cherished his memories of good old days spent here, he also shared his journey from a Librarian to Vice Chancellor. Prof.G.C.Bansal, Chief Guest also shared his memories as a student as well as faculty member. Prof.Shankar ji Jha, DUI, delivered the presidential remarks and congratulation the department for organizing the event. Prof.Preeti Mahajan, Chairperson of the department welcomed the dignitaries as well as the Alumni and highlighted the journey of the department to new heights. More than 150 Alumni participated in the meet and shared their memories and achievements. The department honored all the Alumni members.
