Amritsar, March 19, 2015: The Department of Laws of the Guru Nanak Dev University organized a Jail visit. A total 57 students of LL.B (Hons.) Semester VI paid a visit to the Central Jail (Kendriya Sudhar Ghar), Amritsar which is situated on the Airport Road along with the teachers of Department namely Dr. Rattan Singh, Dr. Anshu Jain and Divya Sharma.
The students surveyed the barracks and interacted with the prison officials who answered the queries of the students relating to facilities which were given to the prisoners like adequate accommodation and working conditions in the jail, legal aid, vocational training and educational facilities. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
