Demand for releasing more funds for RCF Kapurthala

Jalandhar, September 18, 2014: Noted industrialist Subhash Chander Gandhi and his son Kunal Gandhi have urged upon the Minister for Railways D.V Sadananda Gowda and Minister for State for Railways Manoj Sinha to release more funds for the Railway Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala so that the manufacturing of railway coaches be increased from the existing capacity.
In a statement here today, they added the air-conditioned (AC) coaches manufactured at RCF Kapurthala are up to the level of international standards. They added the manufacturing of high speed coaches have paved way for export of these coaches.
Regarding the proposal of GoI to introduce bullet train in India they said it is a prestigious project and a visionary proposal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They hoped it will prove to be a landmark for the nation in coming years.
Speaking about Punjab, they said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley should announce industrial financial package for Punjab so that the state can witness industrial revolution in the future as it had witnessed agricultural revolution in the past.
