DELHI GANG RAPE: Sukhbir condoles tragic demise of victim

Chandigarh, December 29, 2012: Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today condoled the tragic and unfortunate passing away of 23-year old paramedical student in Singapore, who was gangraped in National Capital on December 16.

In a condolence message, Badal said that strictest and maximum punishment for such heinous crime to the culprits would be the real tributes to brave girl. He said that such cases should be dealt in short span of time through fast track courts by holding day to day hearings. He said that these crimes are indelible scars on democracy, so the time has come to set an exemplary punishment for the offenders involved in heinous crimes to combat the social menace of crime against women.

Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family in this hour of sorrow, Badal prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the members of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
