Ferozepur, December 31, 2012: Expressing deep concern on the death of a girl student of para-medical who became victim of gang rape in Delhi, Asha Workers Union, Punjab District Ferozepur in a meeting held under the presidenship of senior vice president, Santosh Kumari, demanded harsher punishment to gang rapists.
She further demanded from the Centre to formulate stringent laws by making necessary amendment in the existing laws to the rare of rarest punishment of death sentence to ensure the safety of women from all angles under the human rights.
In the meeting, a good number of Asha workers were present to pay rich tributes to the departed soul.
