Delegation led by Haryana CM receives rousing welcome at Soka Gakkai Headquarters in Tokyo

Chandigarh, January 18, 2016: The official delegation led by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal received a rousing welcome at the Soka Gakkai Headquarters in Tokyo today. Hundreds of Soka Gakkai officials and volunteers welcomed the delegation with loud cheers and waiving of Indian flags.
          As a kick-start to the visit to Japan, the Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal made a visit to the headquarters of the Soka Gakkai, Tokyo. During his meeting, he interacted with some senior officers of the Soka Gakkai including Mr Tanigawa, Senior Vice President and Secretary General, Mr Terasaki, Director General, Bureau of International and Peace Affairs and Mr Osanai, Director of International Affairs.
          It was decided that Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and Soka University, Tokyo, Japan will enter a Memorandum of Understanding for fostering a common goal for pursuing valued education by exchange of research, scholars and students in the coming years. This shall be a first step towards mutual cooperation between Haryana and Soka University. 
          Mr Tanigawa, Senior Vice President and Secretary General said that thanks to the support of Government of Haryana, Soka Gakkai looked forward to expanding its pro-peace policies and work in India with widening of its base in district Gurgaon. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
