Declamation competition marks vigilance awareness week celebration at UHF Nauni
Nauni (Himachal Pradesh), October 25, 2019: The Department of Business Management at the Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni organized a declamation contest at the university premises.
The declamation on the topic ‘Integrity-A of Way of Life’ was held in association with UCO Bank. The programme was chaired by Dr ML Bhardwaj, Dean, College of Horticulture while Dr Kulwant Rai Sharma, Dean College of Forestry and BD Sankhyan, Lead District Manager, UCO Bank, Solan were the Guests of Honour on the occasion. The main highlight of the programme was the inspiring oral deliberations by the students of the department, expressing their thoughts and opinions to tackle the menace of corruption. Fourteen students of the MBA first and second year presented their views on the topic. All the contestants boldly highlighted the role of public, particularly the youth, in combating the menace of corruption.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr M.L Bhardwaj said that integrity in an environment can only be possible if honesty and sincerity become the key element of one’s life. BD Sankhyan also shared his experiences and the value of honesty in professional life. He stressed upon all the students to live with the highest integrity. Dr Kuwant Rai shared his own experiences about family integrity and its values for the students.
Harsh bagged the first prize in the declamation while Bhavya and Prabhat stood second and third respectively. Fourth prize was jointly bagged by Soumya Sood and Aditi Suhasini. While concluding the function Dr Krishan Kumar Raina, Professor and Head Department of Business Management, thanked UCO bank for their active association and financial support for the conduct of this event. Oath for integrity was administered by Durgesh, Assistant Manager, UCO Bank while Nidhi Sharma, Sr Manager extended the vote of thanks.
