Dharamshala, October 5, 2016: After the BJP’s conclave of Una , the top level congress leadership reacted severely in HP. Smt Vidya Stokes, IPH Minister, Shri G.S.Bali, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister and Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries Minister have said that the Party Conclave of BJP in Una was a futile effort of a dejected and divided house to put up a brave face. They said that the all-round development in the State under the leadership of Shri Virbhadra Singh Chief Minister has sent the State BJP in a panic and the defensive BJP leaders facing identity crisis were desperately trying to register their presence.
In a joint statement issued here today the Ministers strongly condemned the resolution passed by the BJP against the State Government in its conclave and out-rightly rejected it as a bundle of lies. They said that wild and baseless accusations leveled by the BJP were not going to help it as the people of the State knew very well about their dual character.
Smt Stokes, Shri Bali and Shri Agnihotri said that the threats of the BJP not to allow the rallies of Smt Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhi to take place in Himachal Pradesh not only showed its lack of faith in democracy but also reflected the fascist mindset of the BJP leaders. They said that the Congress Party was going to hold massive rallies of their national leaders in the State and no body can stop it.
The Ministers said that it was unfortunate that the BJP was harping on negative publicity and its leaders needed the name of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh to draw any attention.
They said that the demand of the BJP for removal of the Chief Minister was ridiculous. “ from the day one of Congress government , the single point programme of the BJP in the State was to criticize Shri Virbhadra Singh, who is a six times Chief Minister and most popular leader of the State, they said. They said that the BJP was using the Party Conclave as a platform to spread malicious and malevolent propaganda against the State Government as it had nothing positive to offer.
Smt. Stokes, Shri Bali and Shri Agnihotri said that Shri Virbhadra Singh was one of the most popular Congress leaders in the country and heading a stable Congress Government in the State. They said that Congress Government in the State under the vibrant leadership of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh was committed for the development of the State and welfare of its people. It has brought respite to the people from the misrule of BJP Government. Baffled by the popularity of Congress Government in the State, the frustrated BJP leaders were resorting to malicious and mischievous propaganda, the Ministers said.
While ridiculing the wild allegations made by the BJP during the conclave that no development was going on in the State, the Ministers said that it seemed that the BJP leaders was finding it hard to digest unprecedented development going on in the State. They said that State that the present State Government has ensured balanced and all-round development of the State. They said that welfare policies and programmes in the State have ensured welfare of every section of the society and development of every part of the State. The people of the State were happy with the performance of the State Government and the present Government was not only going to complete its present tenure, but would also win the next assembly elections.
They said that there was peace, progress and development in the State and the State Government was providing clean and responsive administration to the people. It was during the BJP regime that there was corruption, and rule of mafia in the State.
Smt. Stokes, Shri Bali and Shri Agnihotri said that the BJP leaders should stop day dreaming about coming to power in Himachal Pradesh as their wishful thinking would never become a reality. They said that the people of the State were well aware of the misdeeds of the BJP and would give them befitting replay in times to come. They said that the BJP during all these years remained a negative opposition and never in came out with constructive suggestions. They said that now the BJP leaders were finding it difficult to digest splendid achievements of the State Government and were making false accusations out of frustration, as they were seeing a dark future for themselves in the State.
