The newly constructed District Judicial Complex at Ferozepur, which is to be inaugurated tomorrow. 

Ferozepur, December 7, 2012: Now the citizens of Ferozepur district would avail all services relating to court work under one roof.  The new complex would enhance the efficiency of the judicial officers and would facilitate them in a big way besides it would save time and unnecessary movement of the people to the courts at distant places.

The government has approved 19 courts at a cost of about Rs.55 crore  in District Judicial Complex, out of which Rs.36 crore would be spent on  building and the remaining amount for furniture and fixture.  

The construction work of court complex is going on war-footing and the complex in the first phase been completed, which will be inaugurated by A. K. Sikri, Chief Justice, Punjab and High Court alongwith  Justice Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority, Justice Surya Kant, Administrative Judge Sessions Division, Ferozepur and Justice Ranjit Singh, Chairman, Building Committee, Punjab and Justice Barjinder Singh,  on December 8.  

On this occasion, the foundation stone of Alternative Dispute Resolution Centres (ADR Centre) would also be laid in the judicial complex.  The ADR Centre is a purpose, a mission which can be carried out through popular cooperation.  The people are aware of the causes of delaying the courts.  Most often after the case, both the parties are left bankrupt which shows the need of Alternative Dispute Resolution Centres.

The construction work of District Judicial Complex is being undertaken by a private firm under the supervision of Public Works Department.  As per the sources, in the first phase, four courts and record room would be shifted in Block No.1 and further constructions of blocks, would be carried out on the shifted court space to accommodate the remaining courts.  Afterwards, the construction of chambers for advocates would be started.

The coming up of new beautiful district judicial complex is a good news for the citizens of Ferozepur district after the independence of India , where the delivery of services relating to court cases would be available under one roof and it would be a great relief to the people of the border towns for pursuing their cases locally.
