Ludhiana, November 3, 2016: P.D.Sharma, President, Apex Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Punjab) has written a letter to all Members of Parliament (MPs) regarding happening on the suicide of a retired soldier on November 2, 2016 at Delhi and serious concerns of MSME Sector. Copy of the letter is attached herewith for press note.
The letter reads as under: “This chamber is a non political very tiny entity of the country. However, it is fully alive to problems of concern. The comments on the subject have no political tone at all. However, no diction in the world is perfect.
Everybody in the country is saddened on the suicide of a retired soldier. At the same time demonstration on the occasion is a mind boggling incident. Deaths are mourned not demonstrated at;
Reasons:
1. Many helpless and hapless people are sulking with their problems. Nobody is ready to even listen to their problems leave apart the solution.
2. Almost all political parties have ruled at one time or the other. So they have their due share in the neglect of the problems. What is to be demonstrated at now. It is just sprinkling salt on the wounds of hurt people.
3. Even Members of Parliament have sufficient officials’ means to enable them to listen and entertain problems of the people. The sorry state of affair is that they even do not acknowledge receipt of letter what to talk of reply.
4. ]
5. Even judiciary at lower and middle level is not helpful in resolving problems of people. It is yet another sorry state of affairs to note that politicians in power push the people towards judiciary to avoid their own responsibility. Sometimes laws are also deficient. Have our politician ever tried to improve the judicial process through constitutional means?
Solution apart ordinary people cannot think to go to judiciary due to abnormal costs.
It is time for our worthy politicians across the Board to introspect rather than demonstrate on suicides. It is time to reorient mind set towards People’s grievances.”
Further, he has written that “With reference to the above facts I have to briefly remind you; Many MSME entrepreneurs are sulking with their problems. What a sorry state of affairs that people have to beg time for seeking meeting from the public representatives. There are many problems needing immediate solutions. Whom should people go to other than the worthy MSME Minister when the problem is very acute? Should we wait for more incidents Cited above?
This chamber has especially witnessed the humanitarian angle of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee when he resolved some crucial problems promptly. Some such glimpses were seen during first year of Rajiv Gandhi’s regime.
Prime Minister Modi too is trying his utmost to help MSMEs. In all the cases enabling environs are different with few exceptions.”
The copy of the letter has also been sent to Kalraj Mishra, Minister of MSME, GoI.
