Ludhiana: It is very sad that an elderly woman in a bank queue waiting for her turn to draw cash from her account near Samarala Chowk has died yesterday (Wednesday) said Mr.Amrit Pal Singh, Joint Secretary AAP. It shows the mismanagement, unplanned and poor functioning of banks to address crisis arisen after the demonetization of Rs. 500 and 1000 notes by the government, he said. One month has passed after the central government cancelled legal tenders of these notes, long serpentine queues are still seen outside banks, Mr.Amrit Pal said.
An elderly woman named Asha Rani, aged 60 years died after she felt uneasiness and received cardiac arrest outside Punjab National Bank, Samrala Chowk.
It is highly regrettable that Aam Aadmi has been toiling very hard, stands in queues, spends the whole day, misses his daily duty to withdraw his own money from bank even to meet daily expenses. While, on the other hand, political masters are celebrating big fat weddings of their near and dear ones without caring for the daily woes being faced by Aam Aadmi, Mr. Amrita said.
