DC LUDHIANA APPEALS RESIDENTS TO COME FORWARD & BECOME LIFE MEMBERS OF INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY

Ludhiana, July 28, 2018: Deputy Commissioner-Cum-President, District Red Cross Society Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal has appealed to the public to come forward for becoming life members of District Red Cross Society. He made this appeal while addressing a District Executive Committee meeting of District Red Cross Society at Bachat Bhawan, here today.

He asked the District Red Cross Society members to educate the masses about the social works being carried by them, which prove beneficial for the betterment of people from weak sections of the society. Mr Agrawal stated that such organisations cannot function properly without peoples support. He said that although a large number of people have been associated with this organisation, but there is still a need that people should join as life members. He said that if any person is interested in becoming a life member, they can contact the office of District Red Cross Society, Ludhiana.

For running the District Red Cross Society more effectively, Mr Balbir Chand Ayari, Retired Executive Engineer from Panchayati Raj, has been appointed as the executive secretary, Dr GP Mangla, retired MD Pathologist as Blood Transfusion Officer (BTO) and Rakesh Krishan and Associated as the Chartered Accountants.

Besides, the budget of the year 2018-19 was also approved. ADC (G) Mr Iqbal Singh Sandhu, ADC Khanna Mr Ajay Sood, ADC Jagraon Mrs Neeru Katyal, all SDMs, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances) Miss Kanu Garg and other committee members were also present.
