Jalandhar, March 20, 2019: DAVIET achieved yet another milestone, when it was ranked as the top Engineering College at the 10th Higher Education and Human Resource Conclave organized by Elets Technomedia Chandigarh. The college was awarded a certificate of Excellence for exemplary contribution in the field of Higher Education in the region. The conclave aimed at initiation of discussion on finest practices in India’s Higher Education landscape, the emergent problems and the plausible solutions. He unique congregation of top Government officials, leading intellectuals and successful corporate managers provided a unique platform for the policy makers to deliberate and create new intellectual wealth to transform the Higher education scenario in India.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Principal DAVIET also had the honour of being one of the members on Panel Discussion on the Topic “ The Regulatory Framework in Higher Education: Key Challenges and the Way Forward to Quality Assurance for Institutions”. During the discussion, the key points to be discussed were: Is regulatory framework playing an enabling or an otherwise role?, To what extent the higher education regulatory framework is in sync with the existing ecosystem and market realities? And, the regulatory challenges being faced by private institutions. How genuine are their concerns and the possible solutions to their key bottlenecks.
He also congratulated the faculty, staff and all the stakeholders for this achievement. He highlighted that at DAVIET management and all the stakeholders realize that the nation is witnessing a knowledge revolution. It requires professionally qualified engineers who have sound theoretical and practical knowledge base but at the same time are conscientious citizens committed to provide innovative solutions to the problems faced by industry and businesses. He shared that at DAVIET, cross functionality and interdisciplinary approach is emphasized. Consequently DAVIETians are not only capable of applying their theoretical and practical knowledge to the problem at hand but can understand the cross-functional usage of the approach adopted while at the same time keep in mind the cost effectiveness and technical feasibility of the solution offered. Dr. Manoj urged the faculty, staff and students to strive harder for achieving more in times to come.
