DAV College at Jalandhar organising 3-day International Conference from Feb12-14.

Jalandhar, February 13, 2015: Keeping in view the needs of the present times, DAV College organised an International Modeling, Simulation and Optimising techniques.

Dr.Mahesh Chopra, Treasurer of D.A.V. Managing Committee, Delhi was Chief Guest. He has told the formula, “No Mathematics No World” for successful life.

Dr. B.B. Sharma Principal of D.A.V. College Jalandhar welcomed the Chief Guest and dignitaries, Dr.S.M. Rizwan from Muscat. Dr. C.S. Lalitha from Delhi, Dr. Gulshan Taneja from Rohtak, Professor Satya Bir Singh from Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr Naveen Gulati from S.D. College, Ambala, Dr Deepak Gupta and Dr Vishal Gupta from M.M.U. Mullana, Dr. Manisha Sharma from P.U. Chandigarh, Dr. Kalyan Kumar, Dey from Bangladesh, Dr. T.P. Singh from Yamunagar.

The organising secretary Dr. Sameer Sharma introduced the audience about conference theme and thanked all the distinguished guests came from different parts of the world. The occasion was also graced by the presence of Prof. T.R. Nagpal, Prof. M.M. Khanna and Prof. Romesh Kumar.

The keynote speaker Dr. S.M. Rizwan delivered lecture on Reliability models in technological system. Dr.C.S. Lalitha delivered a lecture on Huang proper sub differential of set valued maps. Dr. Gulshan Taneja delivered lecture on Reliability and cost-benefit analysis of a system with possibility of dispute on failure during warranty period.

Dr Satya Bir Singh delivered a keynote speech on the second day of the conference on Optimisation Technique. Dr Vishal Gupta has delivered an invited talk on fixed points theorems and its applications. 

In the post lunch session, more than 20 research scholars presented their findings in three different venues in the college premises.

The cultural evening was organised by the EMA Department of college to show the glimpses of Punjabi Culture to the guests and participants followed by dinner.

Sharma, Prof. Anju Chhabra, Prof. Munish, Prof. Seema Sharma, Prof. Ashu Bahl, Prof. Rajesh Prashar, Prof. Sahil, Prof. Vandita, Prof. Meenakshi, Prof. Jasmeen Kaur, Prof. Arun, Prof. Savneet Kaur and PRO of the college Prof Manish khanna were present on the occasion.

The second day of the international Conference started with expert talks by Dr.T.P.Singh from amaunanagar on emerging trends of Mathematical models.

Dr. Manu Partap Singh from Agra on soft computing, Dr. R.K.Seth from HP on construction of space structures, Dr. Arvind Gupta from I.I.T. Ropar on modeling of traffic flow, Dr. Satya Bir Singh from Punjabi University, Patiala on Particle Swarm Optimisation. The participants gained a lot from these interesting talks.

In post lunch sessions, paper presentations were conducted at three different venues in the college premises. More than 20 participants presented their findings. The post graduation students of the college felf greatly enlightened by the talks. In the evening, the organisers arrange by the dignitaries for an excursion tour to Rangla Punjab to show the Punjabi Culture.
