DAV College, Jalandhar's Management Board and University gave gift to the toppers and New Arriving students

Jalandhar: Academic Council and Executive Council Cell of DAV College, Jalandhar made "Academic Achievers Scheme" more effective this year.

Last year around 207 students took advantage of this scheme .

In the year 2018-2019 , 86 students got Rs.10000 to Rs.40000, 42 students got Rs.7000 to Rs.10000, 28 students got scholarship of Rs.4000 to Rs.7000 . All the students from +1 till post graduate were provided the scholarships.

The city's most prestigious DAV College this year has brought a great discount gift to its students once again. Principal Dr.S.K.Arora said that the "Academic Achievers Scheme" started by the college last year became more effective this year by Academic Council and Executive Council Cell of the College in which the highly skilled students will be given special financial benefits . For us, our students are the most important and we want that if they are working hard , then College will also provide them better facilities that will encourage and inspire them , due to which College Management is taking this important step.

Financial benefits available in different categories this year :-

1. For students seeking admission in first year B.BA, BSc, BCA, B.Com and BSc IT, if students receive 85% 90% marks in any board results in 10 + 2, then 20% of college fee will be waived, students receiving 90% to 93% marks will get a 50% discount in college fee , Meritorious students and students with 93% to 94% marks will be able to take advantage of 70% discount in college fees, students from 94% to 95% will be able to avail 80% off of the fees, and if the students get more than 95 % , they won't have to pay any of the fee .

2. Students who are to step up in XI and XII classes , can also take advantage of this scheme. In the board and college results , students getting 85% to 90% will get a discount of 20 % in their fees , students scoring 90% to 93% will get 50% discount in their fees, students scoring 93% to 94% will get 60% discount , students getting 94% to 95% will get 70% discount and students scoring more than 95% will get a compensation of 90% in their fees.

3. If the students do not fall under the prescribed percentage capping, but the student has topped the school, then he will also get the benefit of this scheme. On getting the first position in the school ₹ 5,000 , ₹ 4,000 for the second position and 3,000 compensation of college fees has been kept on getting third position.

4. B.B.A., BSc (Non Medical, Medical, Economics, Computer Sciences), B.Com, B.Sc.It, M Com, MSc Maths and MA

- If the student has secured first place or gold medal in the university, then the entire college fee will be waived.

- 75% on second position in university, 60% on third position, 50% discount in college fees on fourth to tenth university position. If the student is also included in the merit list of the university, they will also be given a discount of 40% college fees.

- If the students studying in the college do top the college , they will also get a 25% discount on college fees, provided that their minimum marks should be 65 percent.

5. Self Finance Courses
B. Sc (Biotech) , B. A (JMC) , BSFT , M. Sc (Physics , Chemistry , Geology , IT , Computer Science )

On achieving First position in the university 25% of the college fees will be compensated whereas securing first position in the college will give you a discount 10000 Rs. on the College fees.
