Dates for special electoral roll revision programme extended

Ludhiana, November 20, 2019: The Election Commission of India has extended the dates for the special programme for revision of photo electoral rolls in Punjab.
While providing information, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal stated that under the voter identification programme and other basic activities, the date for rationalisation of polling stations have been extended to November 30, 2019, while the electoral rolls would be published on February 4, 2020. The objections can be filed from December 16, 2019 till January 15, 2020.
The disposal of applications regarding objections would be done before January 27, 2020. Mr Agrawal informed that the final publication of electoral rolls would be done on February 7, 2020.
