Dalai Lama prayed for former US President Jimmy Carter’s swift recovery

Dharamshala, November 12, 2019: Former US President Jimmy Carter, 95, has been admitted to hospital in Atlanta for a procedure to relieve brain pressure. Alerted by reports in the press to former US President Jimmy Carter’s admission to hospital, the Dalai Lama wrote immediately to the President to express his concern. Dalai Lama wrote that he prayed that former President would fully and swiftly recover and soon return home. He write in the letter, “You have lived a truly meaningful life. I have admired your good work for many years. It is really wonderful that you have remained so active, dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance to those in need. You are an example to us all of how to be of benefit to others.”
