Dalai Lama left for 20 days European tour today

Dharamshala, September 8, 2017: Dalai Lama left Dharamshala today for a twenty days, four-nation visit to United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Latvia in Europe. Central Tibetan Administration CTA informed the media that the Dalai Lama will reach United Kingdom on 9 September and will address a public talk on Compassion in Action organised by Children in Crossfire to be held at the Millennium Forum on the afternoon of 10 September.
Giving more detail about the tour PRO of CTA, Mr Jamphel Shonu said,”The Dalai Lama  will leave for Germany on 12 September and on 13  September, His Holiness will give a public talk on Global Ethics – Shared Values in the afternoon organised by Tibet House Frankfurt to be held at Jahrhunderthalle, Frankfurt. On 14 September, He will participate in the morning session of a one-day conference on Western Science and Buddhist Perspectives to be held at Jahrhunderthalle.”
He said that in Italy, His Holiness will give a public talk on Peace in the morning of 16 September and  On 17 September, He will give a public talk at Teatro Vittorio Emanuele, Sicily.
On 18 September, again a public talk on Joy Education in the morning at Palermo, Sicily and the next day, talk on Peace through Education at the Mandela Forum in Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
From 20-21 September, Dalai Lama  will participate in a 2-day symposium on Buddhist Science and Modern Science organized by the University of Pisa, Italy.
Then in Riga, Latvia, His Holiness will give a 2-day teaching  followed by a public talk on Harmony Without Boundaries in the afternoon at Skonto Hall On 25 September.
The Tibetan leader  will leave Latvia on 26 September and will return to Dharamshala on 27 September.
Earlier this month  the Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama  cancelled a planned visit to Botswana because of exhaustion.The Dalai Lama had been expected to address a human rights conference in the capital Gaborone on Aug. 17-19 and meet Botswana’s president during that trip. Dalai Lama’s office than stated  that Dalai Lama’s doctors had advised him to avoid undertaking long journeys for the next few weeks.
“During the past few weeks, His Holiness has found that carrying out his activities has left him unusually tired,” it said.
The 82-year old Dalai Lama, lives in exile in Dharamshala, north  India. The Dalai Lama,who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, says he seeks greater rights, including religious freedom, and true autonomy for Tibetans.
