Dakha Constituency All Set To Figure On National Sporting Map

Ludhiana, March 1, 2016: With the efforts of MLA Mr Manpreet Singh Ayali, Dakha constituency is all set to figure on national sporting map as an ultra-modern, state-of-the-art Volleyball court has been developed at village Chak Kalan of Ludhiana district. This floodlit Volleyball court was inaugurated by Mr Ayali, here today. Himself a national-level Basketball player, Akali MLA Mr Ayali has been making several efforts for the promotion of sports and sports culture in Dakha constituency.
Constructed with a cost of approximately Rs 10 lakh, this Volleyball court would cater to the youth from this village as well as from nearby villages. While providing information, Mr Manpreet Singh Ayali said that around a dozen-odd such Volleyball courts are coming up in the constituency and they would be ready within next six months time.
"Ever since I became MLA, I wanted to promote sports in Dakha constituency, which would soon become the best in terms of sporting infrastructure in the country," said an elated Mr Ayali.
Known for his pro-people policies, Mr Ayali has always been a messiah of development in the state and former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh as well as Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal has appreciated his efforts when it comes to overall development of Dakha constituency as a whole.
An ultra-modern multipurpose Sports Park with a cost of Rs 40 lakh has already been developed at Gujjarwal village by Mr Manpreet Singh Ayali and 41 such sports parks are under construction in other villages.
"Some of our politicians, for their own petty political gains, are unsuccessfully misleading our people that the Punjabi youth is addicted to drugs. This fictitious propaganda is nothing more than a bundle of lies and such politicians should know that Punjabi youth is well educated, talented and has brought laurels in sports," said Mr Ayali.
While addressing the gathering, he said that such malicious propaganda would not deter him from carrying out development in his constituency. On the occasion, Mr Manpreet Singh Ayali also handed over a cheque of Rs 30 lakh for the development of Chak Kalan village to the Sarpanch Mr Sukhwant Singh and other Panchayat members.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Dr Amarjit Singh, Chairman, Market Committee, Mullanpur, Mr Ranjodh Singh, Chairman, Block Samiti, Mr Sukhwant Singh, Sarpanch, village Chak Kalan, Mr Ram Asra Singh, chairman, Land Mortgage Bank, Mr Lovepreet Singh, Mr Gurinder Singh, besides several others.
